All the information here is very blunt and in point form. I made it so in order to get it across quickly and so you can instantly get a feel for Asuka and who she is. Whether you're a fan or just curious, I hope you can get an accurate taste of who Asuka is, where she came from, and what she is like.
-Asuka's full name is Sohryu Asuka Langley Zepplin. She if 14 years old, born on December 4 2001. Her blood type is O
-Asuka is 3/4 German and 1/4 Japanese (surprise surprise!)
-Along with Kaji, Asuka comes to Tokyo-3 with Eva Unit 02 from Nerv Section Three in Germany. Asuka is very attatched to Kaji and although she won't admit it, she probably likes him enough to love him
-Initially, Asuka had the highest synch rate
-Asuka is the second Eve (meaning : she is the first woman after the Third Impact in End of Evangelion)
-She is the second child and is responsible for piloting Eva Unit 02. She is responsible for the safety of the planet
-Asuka is very hot-tempered, aggressive, and wild. However, deep down inside Asuka is really a lost child trying to bury her past.
-Piloting Eva Unit 02 is Asuka's life - she places all self worth upon this job and does not take failure very well. When the outcome of her battle is not what she desires, Asuka gets angry at herself and the people around her; also she loses confidence in herself
-Asuka does not like being alone; the only time she feels secure is when there are people around her.
-In a later episode, Asuka is mind raped by an "angel" and all the memories that she had tried so hard to bury come flooding back.
-After various instances in which Asuka either had to be rescued or needed help from the other Eva Units, Asuka lost all confidence in herself as well as her pride. It was a major blow to her ego and she lost her mind. Asuka then ran away but was later returned to NERV headquarters by their Secret Security.
-At the end of the TV series, Asuka is left in the Hospital with nothing but a blank expression in her eyes, unconscious of her surroundings.
